Basic Homemade Pancakes
2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup quick oats
1/4 cup sugar (optional)
1 egg
milk (enough to get the consistency you prefer)
Combine dry ingredients, add wet ingredients. Mix until well blended. Add fruit if preferred. Cook on hot griddle. It's that simple! We top with homemade buttermilk syrup or just fresh fruit and confectioners sugar. Enjoy!
